Static vs Dynamic Stretching: Which One and When

Static vs dynamic stretching is a timing question, not a good-versus-bad one.   3. Ramp-up sets or strides specific to the session.

Static stretching for long-term flexibility

Saved for after training or separate sessions, static stretching is still one of the best tools for building lasting range. The penalty only applies right before explosive or maximal effort.
